Craig was one of those great finds… A very proficient and talented modeller who “Gets it!” There was nothing we threw at Craig that he couldn’t handle. There was an incredible amount of material that had to be created on the Scarlet show, so much that is was more of an endurance exercise. Craig stuck to it and came through in spades for us. Scarlet was a tough production, producing 13 hours of high end CG in just over two years. There were around 80 people in the animation and lighting teams and they needed to be be fed by the modellers. Craig was part of the modelling team and when each new episode became more demanding, pushing the team harder and harder, he was one of a core, that got on with it. He delivered for me week after week, no complaining, just really solid work – great team player.

We commissioned Craig to produce a rendering of a spirits bottle (in glass) according to a specific design. The process was intended to bring the design to life and give the impression that the bottle existed in its real form. Ultimately his production was to be used as part of a sales presentation to some senior industry executives and it was critical that the finished result offered a convincing and clear expression of our company’s vision.
Craig exceeded our expectations providing us a lifelike model and rendering, cleverly diffracting light through the glass. He also selected a suitable environment to give the bottle an appropriate setting and furthering its realism. Craig also helped us with a number of different colours and permutations of the design and always delivered – despite our often changeable direction.
Cooperating with Craig was always a pleasure, he was responsive, timely with delivery of his output, and always gave a candid view as to where limitations might lie in order to manage our expectations. In summary, Craig gave us a very satisfying result and I look forward to working with him again. Thank you Craig.
